Oxford - Shopping - Gifts & Cards
After my guide book said this was the 'world-famous Alice shop' I was sorely disappointed at the stable-sized shop wedged between two buildings.
Apparently it got its name as Alice, the daughter of a lecturer at Christ Church uni accross the road and the very same person Lewis Carroll based his books on, used to go there to buy sweets.
It sells a lot of rubbishy souvenirs but very few you'd like to take home and I indeed left empty-handed. Only thing I nearly bought save for the price tag was the Chesire mug mentioned above.
