I work round the corner so this is about the best place in the immediate area for after-work drinks. Being a filfthy smoker the terrace is tres magnifique but gets like Brighton beach on a summer's day.

As mentioned before the decor is pretty nifty - there's even a row of seats that are actual cinema seats. You often find drama students hanging around during the week which gives it a bit of a shoo-wa feel.

One thing not mentioned that I'm not sure they still do was the stand-up comedy upstairs on Tuesday nights called 'The old Rope' - only a fiver to get in and they have 3 or 4 pretty good acts - ours included The Office's own Stephan Merchant who was a side-splitter.
