Qype: Big Easy & Crabshack in London

London - Restaurants - Fast Food & American

I loved the place from the minute I walked in. Off the posh Chelsea streets it's a lot more familiar and vibey. It was happy hour so the yumminess of their frozen margaritas (in lemon, raspberry and strawberry) was doubled.

When we were seated the decor is relaxed and while there's a sense of an American diner, there's a definite mix of Caribbean/steak house feel to it. The specials were decent but sadly the quality of the food knocked a star off for me. I had the lobster (£15 for half lobster plus a free margarita) which was kind of ho-hum. A taste of the steak had a similar appeal - not bad, but not as awesome as I was hoping for.

By 9 o'clock the chilled covers band had started up and there wasn't a free table above or below deck. It's a popular place and somewhere I'd definitely go back to with a bunch of friends.
