The Boathouse is best experienced on a warm Summer's evening when you can make optimum use of the outdoor terrace and gorgeous river views. It's not cheap but is a lovely way to take in the river with a chilled drink in your hand and some good company. They have a decent selection of snacks though if memory lasts they weren't the most appertising. There's loud vibey music downstairs late night on the weekends turning it into a clar (club/bar) type thing. And it gets packed so book a table for any time of the day.
I'd say more bar than pub but somewhere you should visit if you find yourself in Putney.
