Qype: Shepherds Bush Library in London

London - Education - Libraries

Unless things have dramatically changed in the year sinced I lived near here, the Shephard's Bush library is seriously lacking. The book selection is as old as the assistants behind the old desk, the decor needs refurbishing as I'm sure it still brandishes bomb shelter adverts and the latest thing to hit this library was The Never Ending story in colour - out now on VHS.

To be a little fair, if they did not have the book your were after (which is rather frequent) they did offer for it to be brought up from the Hammersmith library so in a sense the service was helpful. I'd only visit if I had no other choice. It really needs a new coat of paint, some lively posters and some very obvious 'community involvement'/PR stunt to up its profile.
