London - Restaurants - Italian & Pizza
After booking a table for a dinner party we headed to this branch of Carluccios. It was quite full for a mid week evening - which surprised me as it was on the whole rather mediocre. The layout and decor of the restaurant were quite pleasing to the eye, but the staff and the actual food portions were quite disappointing. For what you pay you'd expect big hearty dishes of pasta - of course this is the Italian way. But what you get in reality is bordering mean, and although some of it is quite tasty, it really didn't feel like worth the pennies put in.
As Amethyst already mentioned, there is quite a loud chatter which can be quite nice but also quite distracting - perhaps some carefully-selected music would go down well to soften the edges.
