London - Restaurants - British
What an awesome little place. There are two parts to the restaurant - obviously expanding to seat all the eager diners. Both are full with character and array of decorations to enhance your dining experience. Tables are tucked away in little nooks and imbued with candle light. Next to our table we had a big sphinx head.
It's difficult to pinpoint exactly what you'd class this restaurant as; I suppose mediterranean with an Eastern European sway.
For starters I had the mussles which were great - and only £3!! My partner had the crab atop an avocado salsa which was alright but also just £3. The mains were £8 each and were a hearty beef goulash and a braised lamb knuckle, which came with potatoes and boiled cabbage.
You can get other sides which I would advise as the meals tend to be rather carb-heavy and a little salty. Also the array of waiters were great but had quite limited english and so was often hard to check things on the menu. But in terms of value for money and ambience, this place gets both thumbs up.
