London - Eating & Drinking - Restaurants - Greek
The real Greek is a popular chain of Greek restaurants that specialise in meze bits and pieces. It's fitting in our current fad of tappas-esque eating but some of the dishes are better than others - and also a little better value while some are pretty extortionate, especially as they recommend 4-5 per person. The hot mezze are £4-6, cold mezze £3-ish with flat brads at £2 per portion.
I'd suggest you grab some flat breads and a dip or two (try a traditional one and one other like the mackeral and dill). Other mezze worth getting are the tiroptika (I think) which are tasty and the salt cold which is probably the best dish. Meh goes to the lamb cutlets, halloumi skewers and aubergine/halloumi thing and steer clear of the grilled calamari.
It's a fun outing and this particular branch is nicely popped on the terrace which is perfect if the weather is bonny.
